Can We Appreciate the Character Development in Horimiya?

I just finished rewatching Horimiya, and wow, the character development really stands out! The way it dives deep into the lives of both Hori and Miyamura, showing their vulnerabilities and growth, is just something else. It feels so authentic and relatable.

I particularly love how the supporting cast isn’t just background noise but has their own arcs that tie into the main story beautifully. Each character feels fleshed out, which is a rarity in many high school romances.

Absolutely, the character development in Horimiya is one of its standout features! Hori and Miyamura's growth feels so organic and real, and you can really see how their relationship brings out different sides of them. I also love how the supporting cast isn’t just there to fill space; characters like Ishikawa and Yoshikawa have moments that add depth to the overall narrative, which is pretty rare for a high school rom-com.

For me, I found Miyamura's journey particularly impactful. His transition from being closed off to opening up to his friends illustrates how important connections are for personal growth. It reminds me of shows like March Comes in Like a Lion, which also dives deep into character arcs but takes a more dramatic approach.
