California Fans

really tough to get a job nowadays, especially in southern california. I got no-calls from 5 jobs I applied to.

Yeah, tell me about it. Over three months and 300 applications later...

most of the jobs that i applied to back then didn't hire me. according to all of them..it was simply because i was inexperienced >:(

I'm hampered by the fact that all of my current experience is in retail, but I am so stinking sick of retail that I could puke. So I'm looking for office work, but everything wants years of experience first. :redface2:

So I'm gonna do some temp work to puff up my resume a bit.

speakin of office work.. OMFG! i remember takin rop classes back in high school & did a lot of internship in office settings, for nearly a year. when i got my certificate, i looked for a job right away (from libraries to small businesses, etc., etc). but even though i included all the experiences i had on my resume, i still didn't get hired because i was told that i still lacked the experience!

EDIT: 300 apps?!! :O_O::shakefist

Well, I had a bit in savings and I'm staying at home with my parents, so I'm not going through my money really quickly, but I'm *very* ready to be working again. :redface2:
