C2E2: X-Men Panel

Well it turns out that Marvel's great idea of "Mutants vs. Vampires" starts in a new X-Men #1 by some crime novelist, Victor Gischler. Which I find to be crap move since it takes work away from actual comic writers and most of the time these guys add stupid angles to characters that just ruin them. Frankly I just see this as Marvel's attempt to get their own Brad Meltzer, which by the way has proven this past week that he should never touch comics. No doubt more sadness will follow later in the hour.

I actually like this line-up but story arc is still bad, probably made worse by the horrible teasers.

In other news Rick Remender takes over X-Force with a new line-up except for one holdout.

The other titles aren't due for any creative shake-ups though, except the already announced new artists, Whilce Portacio on Uncanny and Leonard Kirk on New Mutants.

Both Dark Wolverine and Wolverine: Weapon X are due to be relaunched as Daken: Dark Wolverine and Wolverine respectively with the same teams behind them. In other clawed mutant news X-23 is getting an ongoing by Marjorie Liu.

[hide]Looks like Psylocke, Phantomex, possibly Archangel and possibly Deadpool.[/hide]

Yeah, nice news on the Snikt front. Good to hear Aaron will still be on, and hopefully the retitling will mean a pick up in sales. And Liu seems to have some decent ideas so hopefully she can give X-23 some more development rather than stewing and regressing like she has in most of X-Force.

While I'm happy to hear about Whilce Portacio coming on board as UXM's artist, I'll be sorry to see Terry Dodson go. I love his work.
But we are losing Land too, only thing that would be better is if Adi Granov stopped doing covers. Though I am curious about who is going to be in the UXM line-up.
