I personally have liked Vaio, though they're expensive they seem to run for a while ;D
I'm on my VGN-SZ220 from 2007 and it's still running fine.
On the other hard, I have a Toshiba which has a faulty webcam and the harddrive died after slightly more than a year. Yeah. I've fixed the harddrive since but the webcam is unusable.
