My niece has the habit of buying whenever there is a new model of phone in the market. Yeah, it is the iPhone for her and I wonder how she could have the heart to spend big money on phones every year (the new models of iPhone comes out in the market almost yearly). It is ironic that my phone is still that old Nokia, not a smart phone, while my niece had countless of smart phones already.

How many phones have you bought?

Well I have changed several phones since I first bought my Nokia. I don't buy on yearly basis rather on the basis of need.

I currently have a Samsung that I have been using primarily since 4 years. I also have an iPhone lying dormant somewhere (I just never liked it so never used for more than 4 years).

I have few phones old models lying here and there.

I only go for a new phone if I lose the one I was using. Buying a new phone every year is very expensive since the phones function the same just a few changes are made to newer model. I've used three smartphones in the last six years.

In the past when I was younger I used to change my phone every time a new upgrade or model came out, but these days I'm a lot more sensible. Now I have a contract phone so every 2 years I am able t upgrade to a newer model and I've found that for that's about right.

These days it seems as if there is a new model of phone coming out every 6 months, and there isn't a great deal of difference. If the phone you are using now does everything you need it to do, while I'm sure e all like to have the latest releases, is it really worth the money?
