Boukenger VS Super Sentai - Talk Up!

I admit, I think I'd like Gao vs. SS more than this, but still, it wasn't all that bad. Seeing Nao Nagasawa return was good enough for me. And Burning Legend DaiVoyager was rather cheap.

Finally, I think we should have gotten an AoBlue and a KiYellow, since those two colors are as prevalent in Super Sentai as Red.

I love it. I loved the Magired and Gaored henshins. I love how the Boukengers jumped on Smoky and tried to capture him because he gave off a high precious reading XD

As always, Hikaru did nothing but look pretty.

That's is Disney cares about PR's legacy enough to have a 15th anniversary, which is as uncommon as a 35th anniversary. I'm thinking Toei tacked on the "35th anniversary" bit to Kabuto for the sake of having the Big 3 of Toku celebrate anniversaries in the same year.

Oh yes, it's Disney who's holding PR by the neck. Well, maybe they'll use this same pattern done by Boukenger vs SS and give Tommy a chance for an encore along with the first female Blue Ranger, the Omega Ranger, and the 2 Mystic Force rangers. Maybe they'll also bring back Jason as the returning Red Ranger.

I think the difference between Gao vs SS and Bouken vs SS, is that Gao was more of a celebration of the legacy of Super Sentai while Bouken was more a celebration of the eternal spirit of Super Sentai. There was A LOT of emphasis on internal power and spirit within this special. Even if it wasn't long enough, they put enough emphasis on the spirits of Super Sentai to make it feel like a "homage" to sentai past.

Movie could have been a lot better had it been given Gao VS SS's running time. This felt too much like a normal team up for 90% of its run. The only thing that really felt all that special was the way DaiVoyager got its power up. Toei really needs to work on their anniversary efforts.

Anywho, the one thing I learned from the movie is that it would be so cool to have an actual "Super Sentai Address Book" with a full page on each and every senshi through the years.

I'd so buy that. If anime shows can pump out statistic books like that then so can Super Sentai.

Actually, that would have been a great product to push out for the 30 anni line.

Aka Red speaks as if he is Super Sentai itself or its spirit or as if he had a team and was the Red leader of it. He speaks with authority and with a deep, mysterious tone.
