I know you really want one, but I'm pretty much confident Bloody Roar will never see a remake, sir. More characters wouldn't make it any better. 4 had more characters, and it was the worst installment in the franchise.
It's all Street Fighter, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat nowadays. Even Virtua Fighter is fading out in the states.

We get it, dude, you love Mortal Kombat. Plus, there was nothing wrong with MK vs DC to begin with.
That being said, Mortal Kombat has too large a fanbase to just disappear off the radar. The popularity of Street Fighter IV was more than enough proof that Mortal Kombat could redeem itself. Bloody Roar never reached the height of popularity the Mortal Kombat series did. GameFan use to call it an "Off-Brand Fighter". After the fourth installment people just stopped caring. However, for a low budget fighter, the first installment was wonderful, but, the fourth was just awful. With all the bad reviews and lackluster sales, Hudson just cut their losses and canceled the supossed Bloody Roar V. Now Hudson is non-existant.
While I wouldn't mind seeing a Bloody Roar remake, a sequel with a bunch of characters and online compatibility isn't going to fix a broken game. Unless they decide to add a more complex fighting system, there's not much more they can do to improve it.
Nobody really truly cares about Bloody Roar, chief, and bumping the thread isn't going to help. Fighting games are only so popular and it's all about Capcom fighters right now. ....and maybe Mortal Kombat.
