Black Torch is getting a final U.S. release after the anime's success

Looks like Black Torch is making a comeback! After its cancellation eight years ago, the series has gained a fresh wave of popularity thanks to its recent anime debut this summer. Originally written and illustrated by Tsuyoshi Takaki, it was serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square from 2016 to 2018 but ended up with just 19 chapters.

Now, we're finally getting a final U.S. release for the manga. Always cool to see canceled series get a second chance, especially when the anime helps it find an audience.

I was super pumped to hear about Black Torch getting that final U.S. release! It's wild how an anime can breathe new life into a canceled manga. I remember checking out the original run and thinking it had a lot of potential despite its short length. Tsuyoshi Takaki's art really stood out, and those fight scenes had some serious flair!

It's always nice when series that didn't get their due can find a new audience, especially with the anime adaptation doing such a great job of showcasing the unique premise. Did you have a favorite moment from the anime? I thought the character development really shone in those later episodes!
