Beyond The Spider-Verse Slips Beyond Original Release Date

I’m honestly okay with the delay. I would rather wait a little longer than get an unfinished or rushed movie. Across the Spider-Verse had so much detail and care in every frame, and I respect that. If crunch was already a problem before, then giving the team more time is the right thing to do. The new date being just a few weeks later isn’t a big deal. The bigger concern for me is making sure the quality stays high. I just hope they don’t change too much from what made the first two so good. Still excited.

I think people overlook how complex these Spider-Verse films are from a production standpoint. The animation style alone takes years to build and polish. Combining that with voice acting, writing, and direction, especially during a strike, creates an understandable delay. I read interviews where animators were working insane hours to finish the last one, and that’s not okay. Giving the creative team space and time to breathe results in better work and healthier work culture. I’m more interested in how Bob Persichetti’s return might affect the tone. He had such a strong influence on the first film, and I hope his touch brings a satisfying closure.
