Once again, you've missed the point. I'm not sure about Voltron, but dubs of anime don't change the genre. It's still dubbed anime. Robotech was made from many anime series, including Macross. Robotech is in English and it uses scenes from anime. Think of it like VR Troopers to Metal Heroes. In this case, anime is involved, and so it can't be considered the adaptation can't be considered anime.

No YOUR missing the point what EXACTLY disqualifies Robotech as anime because most people think what 4kids does is worse just look at One Piece or Yugioh or god forbid the Hollywood Mew Mew fiasco so how do 4kids dubs get considered anime but NOT Robotech and here's the thing most people DO consider Robotech anime same with Voltron*which similar to Robotech took two different anime and spliced them together* most websites have it listed as anime Robotech isn't Macross but it is anime.
