"Battle Worn" KR1: The NEXT

Howzit ALL,

Long time no see, I hope everyone's been all good here!:buttrock:

Anyway, I recently scored as a gift this "Battle Worn" KR1 cosplay Helmet from the movie, "Kamen Rider: THE NEXT":
BattleWornR1_001.avif
BattleWornR1_002.avif
BattleWornR1_003.avif

A good buddy of mine sent it to me because it kinda is "symbolic" regarding all the "battles" I go through in my occupation...and have survived.:buttrock:

I actually now need some advice from you all regarding the costume. For the belt, screw that if I am gonna pay between $300-$500USD for the KR1 Tribute Belt, so I got the cheapo Bandai DX version with that lil' lever on the top that changes light patterns on the belt front.:disappoin

What I need help on is the color scheme of the suit. From what I have seen, the coloring of this helmet is FAR from accurate regarding the actual color of the helmet of KR1 from THE NEXT, which appears to be a darker, blueish green. I noticed dark greenish stripes along the sides of his jacket and pants, and his gloves and boots were not blue like in THE FIRST.

Here is what I am thinking: So as not to make the helmet I got stand out using the color schemes of the actual suit in THE NEXT, I am thinking about doing the Old School KR1 suit, Ver.2...BUT, with the LOOK of THE FIRST and THE NEXT...you know, with all the shoulder, elbow, knee armor...not so "obvious" striping down the suit, etc.

Whatcha guys think?

TIA and Henshin Safely all!

That's pretty impressive I have to say. Looks "clean" compared to the one in the movie. As for the suit idea, I don't have any advice considering I never had any first hand experience with that kind of thing.

Awesome helmet!:buttrock:
Yea the color is a bit off and the striping on the side of the helmet is different than in the movie.
You maybe got a sketch or something for your costume?

Just for clarification, the Cheapo version is not a DX Version, its the Cheapo $20-$30 Version, a DX Typhoon Belt would easily be worth more than $300...that is if there was a DX Typhoon belt made back in 1971. The $500 belt you referred to is the Adult Size belt, a step up from DX.

can we get soem info on the helmet. liek how sit fit, how well can you see out of it and such. How abotu soem pics of the inside please.

The Tribute Belt (well, the one that wasn't a Hero Net exclusive) is the "New" Rider 1 version anyway (that has a red belt part instead of white.) The one you have can either be painted white, or I'd guess you'll probably rig up some kind of new belt with just the buckle part from the actual toy, cuz the red plastic belts that are on the cheapo ones are pretty restrictive.

If you're thinking of making a more classic "Sakurajima"-style Rider 1, the colors on the helmet there are about right. I can't really tell from the lighting, but the top of the mask should be a slightly darker shade of green than the bottom (this is true of the real NEXTy mask too.) The gloves, boots and chest armor are the same color green as the bottom of the mask, or just about. And as you mentioned, there's no stripes on the original suit.

Howzit KR Hyper Kabuto,

Thanks...I have NO experience with the suit thing either...it'll be my "FIRST"!
