Battle Skirt? What Do You Call That?

I think they're sometimes called Armor Skirts, as if each part is separate

Battle skirts... Hmm, I've seen Clone Commanders from Star Wars wear one too.

It could be a tasset, worn on medieval or Chinese armor.

They could just be an extended version of a samurai armor part called a 'haidate'. Combined with a 'kusazuri' they provided groin, butt, and thigh protection.
