Battle Fever J: Hedder Actor's

So I have recently been watching the Battle Fever episodes done by Battle-Anon and of course I noticed that the guy who plays Hedder changes from time to time, now I was just looking to find out why there was the change of actor since I recall reading somewhere that they completed the series with the original actor but then had to change him due to something like losing a bunch of footage, this is true or was it for some other reason entirely?

The show started with Kenji Ushio in the role, who is then replaced by Masashi Ishibashi early on. (depending on what you believe, Ushio was arrested shortly before Battle Fever began) My understanding of it is that a lot of Ushio's stuff was shot again, but not all of it.

Well, I read it on the Japanese Wikipedia, so...take it with a grain of salt.

It's sad, though, because Ushio was creepier looking in the role, and he really needed a Sentai villain under his belt.

If you want to see the all-Ushio footage, it seems like the subbed Hawaiian broadcasters -- for whatever reason -- received the unaltered episodes with him.
