Awesome new PPG clip

So, could someone tell me how the heck PPG resembles Lolicon? I thought Lolicon was porn, but this new series hardly resembles porn at all (no offense guys, but maybe you guys are a little bit of Lolicon addicts yourself).

Lemme guess...

PPGINO is to GINO...

...as Zilla is to Powerpuff Girlz

Exactly.

These are not the Powerpuff Girls. Just as GINO was a Jurassic Park ripoff with the name "Godzilla" slapped on it, PPGZ is just a Sailor Moon ripoff with the name "Powerpuff Girls" slapped on it.

The Powerpuff Girls were absolutely adorable, never needed secret identities, and rarely ever needed weapons (just super-strength and beam powers). They were more the Superman or Ultraman types (with a bit of Super Sentai sprinkled in, due to the color code theme).

These new ones were just pre-teen Sailor Moon wannabes who have lame secret identites, do "stylish" poses (like Sailor Moon) and carry weapons. Everything the Powerpuff Girls aren't. The uniqueness of the originals are lost here.

This is just my opinion, whether you agree or not. And I understand if you don't. ;)

No...I just find your reasoning between PPG and Godzilla quite funny.

...but hey...it could be worse you know.

Thats good especially when opinions aren`t always facts.:P

But you are right about them at least looking like Sailor Moon, the quick answer is that they were designed by the person who designed the Sailor Senshi themselves

Godzilla was, urg, GINO because

-It was a female
-The design didn`t even try to look like the original
-Matthew Brodrick

Powerpuff Girls Z is not INO, at least not to me because.

-Chracters look different but keep their original personality(i.e. Mojo`s rambling speech and constant rethinking in his head, Buttercup freaking out over her skirt)

-These girls are still cute

-They still help out the professor

-They still fight Mojo

-The production crew went through the trouble of tweaking designs and animation styles to look closer to the original, compare the short promo clip from a year ago to this.

This is as classic PPG shot here, and I can tell you why. Back in the original series Blossom with always frown whenever they were headed to a fight, Buttercup would look all serious like and Bubbles would smile through the whole thing.

This shot tells me how much care the Japanese folks have put into this and thats good enough for me to know the girls are in safe hands.

But I never use the INO thing, it limits ones openess to great new stuff from the same universe. You could say most people thought Enterprise was STINO, but it didn`t even has Star Trek in the title.
This is being done by the guy who pulled off Digimon season 1.

I say PPGZ will only get better with the course of the season, after about ten episodes we shall see.

It's not in the same universe though. Just because aspects of the original series can be found here does'nt mean the series is consistently set after anything. It does'nt even PRETEND it's in the same universe, with the weapons still being used, so really there's no way you can possibly justify it. What's wrong with just accepting it's a seperate timeline and series?

I'd personally settle just for a continuity that's true to the CN PPG originals, and not this petty wannabe rubbish, hell Bleedman's dojunishi is better written and more true to the characters than this

Tenchi uses the same characters and plot all the time, and he's had THREE different continuitys.

I suppose if we go by your logic, Transformers: Headmasters counts as G1 canon and two Cybertrons are co-existing with one another:rolleyes2:

As for Enterprise not using "Star Trek", you're wrong. The title was added in the third season, and Manny Coto had to work his ass off to make everything in Enterprise fit in to the Star Trek canon and justify it's existence so at the very least it ended with potential, instead of ending with noone caring about it.

1. Actually, it was a hermaphrodite because its genes were asexual.

2. Not to mention there were no Gojira trademarks...

3. At least we had Hank Azaria and Jean Reno in the movie...

^___^

...one more thing...I think it's cool that "Dexter" (I mean Ken) is their mentor...
