Will this be the last time I ever have to write about Attack On Titan? Every time I figure I’ve written my last ever piece, a new Eren-related news item pops into the inbox. This time, I have to report that the film Attack On Titan: The Last Attack has been made available on the Crunchyroll app. The feature, released in the US last February for one day, is a re-sewing of the two extended-length episodes that ended the series on television. Those two episodes are already on Crunchyroll. I guess whether you watch those or this is up to your personal preference. I think the movie edit is fine for people who want to binge the ending, but to be honest, I prefer the two final episodes. They felt more powerful when they aired on their own. Still, it’s smart of Crunchyroll to offer both. This story always had a mix of action and politics, and The Last Attack continues that. Eren’s decision is still one of the darkest in anime, but it makes sense when you look at his character over time. The movie doesn’t change anything, but it gives fans another way to experience it.
