Are you fed up with Social Networking Sites?

LinkedIn is for professionals while you need tablet or mobile devices (Android or iPhone) to register your Instagram account. There are sites that require Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus and I'm okay with that as long as I don't accept app requests frequently.

What do you mean by app request? Cuase everytime I look up somebody from overseas is always sending them at all hours of the night at that. It gets annoying after awhile.

As for LinkedIn thanks for that. I just thought it was regular type ****.

LinkedIn is for professionals

It is, but it gets abused a lot and basically treated like Facebook. People post a lot of memes, cat pictures, decidedly unprofessional status updates, and there's a lot of fake profiles and people using it as a soapbox for their pet cause

This is both informative and funny as ****. I love me some cat memes but only because they are so cute. Can't hate on that but I have to wonder why the heck would they have "fake profiles" on there if its professional and business like? That's just weird to me especially when you have to be confirmed well as least last time in 2009/10 when I was invited to join. So glad, that if its just like FB, that I didn't join it. It reminds me of boring ass Pinterest too.

According to some source, posting pictures of cats help increasing one's creativity and alertness over work. As for fake profiles, I haven't encountered them though I've been told that they existed. I have tumblr when I'm bored with blogger and I might have plan to create my Pinterest account.

I love looking at Tumblr, oprhen they have some good **** on there both gifs and images. My friends profile has me cracking up on the daily.

I love it. Especially that's where I get most of my Cross Gene and BigBang gifs from. I always geek out going there.

And Pinterest reminds me of a stuck up CraigList, I forgot to mention that too. lol. Let me know how you like it.

Just deleted my FaceBook last Saturday and I'm proud of it.

Also I wanted to add to my original post that there used to be a time when I didn't even need an internet connection to entertain myself. I had a PS2 and many other consoles and games to play on. Today I have even more games and consoles*, plenty of DVDs and a huge mountain of VHS that I brought from charity shops for as little as 10p (yes I'm poor). I could be watching and playing these instead of wasting hours and hours on FaceBook posting and sharing silly pictures of Grumpy Cats and unfunny memes.. It's hard to believe that after over 10 or so years of the internet it eventually came to this.

Also I wasn't doing so well in Japanese class and I think I have FaceBook to blame for that (well, not necessarily FaceBook but myself really).

So deleting FaceBook was the right thing to do!! Sure you can play games on FaceBook but most of them are boring puzzle/colour matching games, and Candy Crush is a crappy ass Columns rip off (or so I heard).

Also I came across this hilarious video that made my day!!

Basically stuff like joke profiles, recruitment consultants posing as someone else so that other people will contact them with news of jobs, and people who use it to spam or harvest contact details (you don't have to be confirmed any more, they do have some restrictions in place to stop misuse of the site, but it doesn't always work)

Oddly enough, a couple of my friends (one an accountant/lawyer and another an consulting actuarian), had to open Facebook accounts last year after several years of protesting the idea, because they actually needed it.
