The return of Apu is definitely a mixed bag. On one hand, having Sunil Malhotra voice him feels like a step toward representation, which is great. But on the other hand, it's hard to shake the feeling that the character's past is still lingering, and I'm not sure how they're planning to address that now. It'll be interesting to see how they navigate Apu's character moving forward.
