The concept was insulting when I first heard of it, and its insulting now. I hate to say anything that makes me sound even vaguely conservative, but at some point we gotta man (or woman) up. Someone saying something bad about you on the internet is NOT a real problem.

I'm sure you've heard of it, you've just somehow missed the mile long list of cases that have been reported in recent years. That grows almost every day. It isn't about being a wimp, or being weak, or needing to man up. It's about technology opening up a new venue for bullying to occur. And it's pretty damned depressing.

You can block anyone and any group on facebook. You can also ignore anything on face book you don't like or don't want to see.

Rumors are only given power if you give in to them. PM's can be blocked. I agree with sage here. Just ignore the crap. If you know it's not true that is all that should matter.

I'm sure it's not too hard to figure out. But yeah, this fella has plugged my inbox with many an insulting pm, from almost as soon as I joined this board. [child, douche, loser, ass, you get the idea] I'm sure actually evoking his name would bring down a mod hammer, so i'll avoid doing that.
Though this person actually helps provide further example of why online bullying can be such a problem. I mean, in high school you have to deal with your peers. If you can get past that, you're golden. The internet has everyone. Every angry, sad, bitter, or otherwise pissed off dude who's life didn't turn out the way they wanted it to.
How do you even begin to deal with adults like this?

He's talking about me. He is giving a one sided thing here. I attempted to end the hostilities with him a little while back. He chose to ignore that attempt. I am therefor just avoiding him. I am sure he will continue making posts saying how evil I am, how big a bully I was to him, but it really doesn't matter to me. He is not totally innocent here, and neither am I. He is right. I resorted to name calling via PM at times with him, but I also tried to resolve our differences. He says I started in on him via pm from the moment he joined this forum. I was not part of HJU when he joined these forums. I forget what it was that set us BOTH off, but I am sure it was some petty nonsense on both our parts.

The last set of PM's between us I tried to end it, and as I said he declined. I do find it very hypocritical that he takes no blame at all for things that happened, and of course it is entirely my fault. It is my fault he got banned a while back, it's my fault he chose not to end things a few months ago, and of course it's my fault that he signed up on the tokuraws forums for no other reason than to troll me. Yes those are the actions of an "Adult". I really didn't want to reply to him anymore, but honestly I am just fed up with his crap. He does make some pretty good posts here, and I think he does contribute some good thoughts and Ideas, but how can I even take part in those with him when in the end he will just go on the attack again.

Probably, and I am sorry but like I said I am just sick of the things he has said about me. Some of them are true, but again he has just as much blame to take as I do. I ask him for the last time here. Quark, do you want to put an end to this between us, move on, be pleasant with each other, and just have fun on HJU?
