The rise of anti-heroes in anime has been a fascinating trend, don’t you think? Characters like Light Yagami from "Death Note," Guts from "Berserk," and even Izuku Midoriya from "My Hero Academia" (in his darker moments) all have complex motivations that blur the line between right and wrong.
What’s interesting is how these characters often reflect the darker sides of society or the internal struggles many of us face. It makes for some compelling storytelling!
I'm curious about who you all consider to be the most memorable anti-hero in anime. Do you gravitate towards characters with a tragic backstory, or do you prefer those with a more morally ambiguous stance? Also, how do you think this trend has impacted storytelling in the medium? Are we seeing more depth in character development because of this shift?
Would love to hear your thoughts!
