Anime on DVD-R

no it's not. You're working with compressed material and per definition you lose some of the quality.

*Sigh*

You just had to come in and take a shot again, didn't you?

Ok, fine Kyo, you're right. It's not EXACTLY like official DVDs, but it's still pretty damn good. Anything else?

Rule:

bootleg anime and Official Anime must stay atleast 50 feet and 4 website links away from each other at all times to keep a total balance.

Yeah. maybe I havn't had a chance to see a good quality fansub. But I'd rather not waste the time.

Then you STILL don't know what the **** you're talking about, since you just admitted you've never seen a good fansub so you should be quiet.

No. This is the internet. I don't care of your/other people's opinions becuase I'm not the one who has to look at the faces of these people giving them. All they can do is type there rough opinions of me on there keyboards. All I can do is read them, and act is that if I really care. In person, I do care about the opinions. But knowing some guy accross the world on his computer thinks I am a dick deosn't phase me. Why should I care? In real life I am a dick. Becuase I can be.

More bullshit. If you don't care then don't get online. And if you're a dick in real life eventually someone's going to pound your face in. :anime: But since you don't care about my opinion, you don't exist to me.

Anyway, I leave this aguement. I made my suggestion already. Now I'm going to take my Official Anime and take my nice big 50 foot step that way>

No, sorry. Since I've got a cable modem, I get all my fansubs with BT and sites like BoxTorrents and AnimeSuki.

Blah. Isohunt forever. Both those sites (well, at least Boxtorrents, AnimeSuki was always that way) bowed to the knee of anime companies who have a tendency to join the idiocy of the music industry and believe that one download equals one sale lost.

It's not about taking a shot and it's not about having something against fansubs or anything. It's just a technical reality that compressed files lose a bit of their quality. It's the same when I watch raw shows from Japan, I realize these lost some of their quality and for that reason I buy the show I really like on DVD.
You are right that on lower end installation this is not so overly clear but on a medium to high end installation you can notice the difference.

taking my 50 foot steps as well now ...

I used to wonder why a certain member of this board was banned everywhere they went. I don't wonder now. The sad part is no one that I'm almost sure none of the people that were being trolls in this thread think they've done nothing wrong.

Oh well. (And they wonder why no one listens to them....) On the search for Anime DVD-R sites.
