You want it. You’ve missed it. You’ve demanded it. And now it’s finally coming (in six months, but that’s a shorter span of time than “indefinite”). Andor Season 2 is officially on the way. Disney and Lucasfilm confirmed the news over the weekend. Andor has perhaps the most passionate fanbase of any recent Star Wars project — the two-season series is a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which was about the effort to steal the Death Star plans and deliver them to Princess Leia. It’s one of the few Star Wars media where the Empire feels truly oppressive and suffocating, instead of over-the-top or cartoonish. Season One is worth the time. You just have to sit through a lot of bland Mon Mothma high society discussions as well. As for what to expect from Season 2, one would assume similar content to what’s in Season One, but…you’re in for a few surprises. The biggest twist: time jumps, and lots of them. The show is all about how Cassian Andor rose from nothing to become one of the key figures of the Rebellion, and to get him from point A to Z in the time remaining, there will […]

Andor Season 1 was such a breath of fresh air for Star Wars—it really showed the grittiness of the Rebellion in a way that felt real. I loved the slower, character-driven storytelling, even if Mon Mothma’s plot dragged a bit. But hey, you can’t have a revolution without a little political intrigue, right? The time jumps in Season 2 sound super ambitious, though. I hope they don’t make it feel rushed. Either way, I’ll be rewatching Season 1 to prep!

Okay, I’m still catching up on all things Star Wars (there’s SO MUCH), but Andor has been on my list. Everyone keeps telling me it’s the ‘grown-up’ version of Star Wars, lol. I think I’ll binge Season 1 before April. The time jumps sound like a fun twist, but I hope it’s not too confusing for someone like me who’s still learning who’s who.”

I’ve been a Star Wars fan since 1977, and Andor has been the most grounded and mature series in the franchise. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but it felt like the closest we’ve come to the spirit of the original trilogy in years. The time jumps in Season 2 are an intriguing choice—reminiscent of the ‘Star Wars: Clone Wars’ storytelling format. I’m cautiously optimistic!

Glad to hear Andor is coming back, but I hope they drop it all at once. Weekly releases are tough when you’ve got kids and limited TV time! I’m curious how the time jumps will work—could be brilliant or confusing. Either way, I’m here for more of that gritty Star Wars goodness.

Andor stood out because it didn’t treat its audience like kids. I appreciated that. However, the pacing issues in Season 1 were hard to ignore, and I’m worried the time jumps in Season 2 might make it feel disjointed. It’s a fine line between ambitious and chaotic. Let’s hope they can pull it off
