I’ll be honest…I didn’t really get into the first season of Andor. A lot of people thought it was the best thing in the world but I found it too dry and slow-paced — the Mon Mothma scenes especially dragged for me. And while I did think the fights and prison scenes were tense and well-done, they weren’t all the show had to offer. To be honest though…this new trailer makes me more optimistic for Season 2. Stuff HAPPENS! Things blow up! Other things get shot at! There’s even some dancing! And the chef’s kiss of the whole dish is “The Revolution Starts Now” by Steve Early scoring the whole set of clips. It’s well-done and gets one pumped. For those who skipped Season One entirely, the show is all about how its title character Cassian Andor rose from nothing to become one of the key figures of the Rebellion, as seen in the movie Rogue One. Another improvement of Andor Season 2 over Season One will be a quicker pace. Showrunner Tony Gilroy himself confirms the show will move faster thanks mainly to all the time jumps. “We’re going to skip a whole year. We come back a year […]

Honestly, I have to say, that trailer did its job. I was one of those people who found the first season a bit of a slog. I understood the intent, the slow burn, the political intrigue, but it felt a little too... cerebral for my taste. However, this trailer? It’s got energy. The explosions, the action, the sense of urgency, it all feels different. I am particularly interested in how they are going to execute the time jumps. I think it is a very interesting way to tell a story, and I am curious if they will pull it off.

I knew they would change it. I knew they would listen to the audience. I am a huge Star Wars fan, and I watched the first season, and I was not impressed. I felt it was boring. But this trailer is different. It is exciting, and I am ready to see what happens. The time jumps sound interesting. I am excited to see how they connect to Rogue One.

Well, I suppose I will give it another chance. I found the first season to be a bit tedious, but the trailer for the second season does look more engaging. I am not sure if I am completely sold, but I am willing to see what happens. I like the idea of the time jumps, and I am curious to see how they will impact the story.
