An iPod Touch question

Like a passing wind...
Alright, so I've been wanting to get me a 32GB Touch for quite a while now. I looked up it requirements and say that it needs USB 2.0. Since my laptop died last summer I've been having to use my old desktop from 2001 that has USB 1.1.

If I plug it in to this computer will the Touch still work? I've heard of people not being able to charge theirs through USB 1.1. I do know that files will transfer slowly but I gotta deal with it till I can get a new machine.

If you have windows XP and enough ram, I would just go out and buy a USB 2.0 card. They are usually only between $15-20. If not, but you want to charge it, they sell adapters for the wall outlet to USB.

It will, depending on the quality of your USB port. The 2.0 port is designed to be backwards compatible, so it should. All the information for the ipod touch states that 2.0 is a required specification, but that is just because apple tech support no longer supports USB 1.1. If you continue to have troubles with it after purchase, I would suggest upgrading the USB port if feasable, or doing it as a precaution.
