an amazing revelation

after watching episode one of Cyborg 009(created by Shotaro Ishinomori) I came to believe that Faiz's Accel Form and it's power were based on the signature power of Cyborg 009's title character. I wonder what other less obvious concepts from Ishinomori-sensei's works inspired things in Kamen Rider

I actually never thought of that, but really other then the obvious Skull Man, I can't think of anything else.

Well, 009 does have the power of speed, but that concept is pretty much cliché already, even before Ishinomori. What I see to have really used 009's speed motif was that of Kamen Rider Kabuto, since like Kabuto while in Clock-Up, 009 also experiences the world around him in slow-motion, since Faiz in Axel Mode only had limited time and explored on the slow-motion scenes for IIRC only one time.

[hide]It was also cool that Cyborg 009 explored the small concepts present in having the power of extreme speed, like that of not being able to touch anything (objects and people) because it will catch fire due to extreme friction with the air molecules.[/hide]

But I loved the drama of Cyborg 009, I loved it when they were forced to fight their successors. If anything, the concept that was taken from Ishinomori, was that of being created by an evil organization (in this case, Black Ghost), then lashes back at the evil organization.

Another work of Ishinomori that got its concepts from Cyborg 009 was Himitsu Sentai Goranger.
