Calling all pierced and tattooed tough girls: Amazon Studios is looking for YOU!
Variety reports the conglomerate wants to make a TV series out of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo books, technically titled the “Millennium Series” though no one calls it that.
Lisbeth Salander (the one with the dragon-themed ink) is one of the few 21st century literary figures to reach iconic status, as well as solidify the popular interpretation of a hacker as a punk-dressed, heavily tattooed person. She was created by Steig Larsson and her first adventure was published in 2005. Larsson would go on to write two more books before suddenly dying. That, however, didn’t stop his publisher from continuing the series under different writers.
