Am I the only one...

to buy official R2 DVDs? I hear everyone on this board saying they prefer buying from TokusatsuDVD or elsewhere. I prefer to buy officials. I was just wondering if there was anyone else on the board that likes officials like me, just to know I'm not crazy.

I'm not bagging on anyone who does buy bootlegs.

I buy the official R2 releases, although I stick to only buying Riders (the older ones mostly) or the shows I really, really like such as Zubat. I might be in a different situation from a lot of people though because when I first got into Tokusatsu, everything was still on VHS or LD (and possibly Beta if there ever was any on that  ) So there's a lot of stuff that I've seen and liked okay, but not felt the need to get again in any form. I'm not opposed to bootlegs (since they are, like downloading stuff, a means to an end) but I personally want to just save up for the DVD releases of the shows I really want. Plus I'm a sucker for the extra stuff they stick into some of the official DVDs.

I also buy official DVD's, but I prefer not to talk about it so much on these boards.
I mostly buy Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and a few indies as well (Evolver, Zeitgeist, etc).

I just download rather than pay for bootlegs. Otherwise when I can afford it I go after the R2s. Though it's hard. I have a few series that are incomplete. Though I did get all of Wecker Signa back in December.

That's cool. I use veoh to watch episodes of Sentai. :)

I dont have any official toku dvd's although I would love to in the future, most of mine were downloaded then burned (except for Black RX which I brought of a trading site, hell id rather the money go to them rather then the Hkers)

I really would like to get official DVD's I was tempted to buy Kabuto DVD's but since TV-Nihon where subbing them and the offical ones seemed a bit pricey

but go you for having real DVD's :buttrock: next Blue Ray? :P

I perfer official R2 releases over bootlegs and downloads but they are so expensive. Around $500 for a complete Megaranger collection?! But.. that was when I didn't have a job.. now I do and as soon as I get some other stuff out of the way I plan to go back to buying R2 DVDs.
