the best thing I can tell you, is the way I did it.

first learn to trace, easy.

then try tracing the out lines, then fill in the details your self.

Then try some sketching, look at picture and try your best to draw it down.

create your own character *it helped me for some reason*

go back to sketching.

learn simple proportions *ie: elbows usually are at bellybutton level*

get a how to draw book *hey everyone needs help*

Sketch.

at one point, try drawing a character in a different pose...but using a picture as reference. think of it as manipulative sketching.

though if your like me, and you can't do those Circles/squares drawing tips, it seems to me the more I sketch the more I learn of how to draw what.

also watch some anime/cartoons / read some mangas/comics and pay a little to detail. Recently I learned something about eyes from a bleach movie *first one*
