A thought that keeps crossing my mind

Well, Power Rangers is still very popular in the US, but I keep wondering... Why isn't Kamen Rider? It's just as fun of a story as the Rangers story. Hell, I'm not even sure if Kamen Rider ever had a domestic release, though, and if it indeed has not, then WHY hasn't it?

Masked Rider isn't because Saban Ent. decided to make a complete and utter vomitory joke of it when they released it in North America almost 10 years ago.

Kamen Rider Black RX kicks the **** out of Masked Rider and Power Rangers and Saban Entertainment.

Saban wrecked any hope of Kamen Rider being taken seriously here. Shoutaro Ishinomori himself was outraged by what had been done to his work and he had every right to be.

Doesn't help when you have a series as bad as RX to start with...

Plus, chopping in things from Kamen Rider ZO as well was so lazy. The story was bad, cheesy, way more cheesy than anything used in Power Rangers at the time.

So there was a domestic release, and they screwed it up royally? Well I'm kind of glad I don't know anything about it then. I want to check out Kamen Rider Black RX, but I've only seen a DVD box set for 70 bucks, which I don't have, at the moment

Black RX is an awesome series. People just look down on it because as a sequel it's not as good as Black.

You know... as much as it's said that Saban ruined it and all.... Masked Rider still had a full run and ended up using all the footage it could.

It's not like it was cancelled, like Mystic Knights or Young Hercules... it ran out of footage to use.

I also heard from somewhere, that not only was Ishinomori outraged by what Saban did to Masked Rider, he then refused to let Saban have any other Kamen Rider footage at all.
