A Theory on The Decks of Ryuki (Possible Spoilers?)

I just finished watching Ryuki, & in the series' time line, only 10 of Kanzaki Shiro's decks appeared. Well, if you think about it, there were 2 people from the lab he was at unacounted for, and one we barely knew (the scientist who lost his contract card & told Yui he wished she never existed) Could they have been the Ryuuga, Femme, & Verde of that timeline, killing each other before we got they got to meet Ren & Shinji, where Episode One took off? What do you guys think?

I think I might just make a FanFic Prequel based on this...

I thought the Alternatives didn't qualify and the rest were just never shown?

Verde was Special only, but I'm talking about the series. Just because it didn't show them doesn't mean they were replaced or killed off beforehand, I think the show just spent too much time focusing on Asakura and Kitaoka to introduce any other Riders.

The Alternatives are supposed to not count as part of the official 13, they don't call them 擬似ライダー (False/Mock Riders) for nothing!

There's a lot of theories about who the other three Riders were supposed to be on the TV show (the Alternative & Alternative Zero; Goro-Zolda; the "other" Odins, etc.) in terms of filling the 13 quota. But I think they just didn't have them all because they wanted to save some for the movie and one for the TV special. As flimsy as that sounds, it's probably pretty close to the truth. I suppose they could have had the Alternatives be the movie-only guys, and had Femme & Ryuga appear in the TV show, but from a marketing standpoint, I think people will get more excited about seeing a female Rider and an evil Ryuki than some random dudes in the one Rider show they actually have to pay for that year. Just my theory though.

One of the only really notable things in the Episode Final Director's Cut was that little scene at the beginning that showed all 13 Final Vent cards, and the cards of the Riders that are history by the time of the movie flip over, including Odin's & Verde's, leaving the remaining six.

So I take that to imply that there is some version of the TV series story where all 13 did exist at some point, and in that timeline, Verde apparently got taken out before anyone else (which I say is totally bogus, but that's besides the point  ) and apparently, when Odin got killed, he stayed dead. Then things follow the movie at about the point when it sorta fits in, in place of the last three episodes or so.

But I suppose it's all sort of moot, since in the end, none of it happened to begin with! Except it did all have to happen for it to not happen...Ryuki hurts my brain.

Yeah....Ryuki REALLY hurt my brain because of all the time-resetting crap.
Should have been called Kamen Rider Ryuki: The Headache

Well, I don't count the Alternatives, since they're just that: Alternatives. Neither the Riders that had multiple identidies for that matter, because they're still the same rider.

Personally, I think it may be very possible, as alot of things were left untouched in Ryuki.

I think it all went down like this...
[HIDE]Shortly after given the decks, they all knew who one another were, because Kenzaki gave them out all at the same time, same place; the college's lab. You could say they were the gueinie pigs of the battle. Though, they all were swept into an early fight, still in their Blank Forms.

A drunk with power, crazed Ryuuga dashed off to swiftly finish off Verde. Femme, being a heroic woman, as well as Verde's lover, jumped in front of the vulnerable Verde. She received a fatal blow from the attack, and died insantly from it, and dissolved before his eyes, gently speaking his name one last time. A vengeful Verde viciously tears through Ryuuga's deck, as Ryuuga falls to the floor, and weeps "W-W-Why Did I--I--I'm sorry..." and slowly disapears.

Verde exits the Mirror World, and smashes the mirror, realizing all of what had just happened. A sorrowful scream from him can be heard, as he runs out of the lab. A nearby twisted Kenzaki smirks about his succsess.

Our Verde spends the rest of his days wandering, wondering about what will happen next, with his still bare-contract card, until one day, it is swept away from him...[/Hide]

Why does Ryuki hurt everyone's brain? I don't get it. The last three Riders are missing 'cause the writers fucked up, there was a time reset so none of the Riders ever really became Riders. There. We're done. Simple, to me.

Now Kuuga's ending....now THAT'S something I'm still trying to figure out....:shakefist :shakefist

Well that's just it. The time reset never would have happened if everything hadn't happened to cause it to not happen, because it all had to happen to make the Kanzaki siblings not want any of it to happen at all in the first place.

Anyway, the original promise of the *series* was "The Battle of 13 Riders", and yeah, they did kinda drop the ball by not having three of them on TV. But like I said, they probably wanted to save some so they could justify doing a movie and a TV Special that you had to see at least one if not both of if you wanted to see all 13 Riders.

Compared to all that, Kuuga's ending is simple- [HIDE]Godai won! [/HIDE]

The more you say that, the more confused you get, Iga. But I'm a comic book fan and time parodoxes are done monthly there. Ryuki's ending is almost elementary compared to some of the ideas spun out in those books...

I do think you're right about the 13 Riders, but if that's the case then the 13 should have appeared and the movie should have had a 14th and the TV special a 15th (!) rider. Man, I wonder how many Ryuki haters would've fainted on the spot from 15 riders...?
