A personal message from Bruce Kalish

I am sitting here trying to figure out how people can think Kalish's work is inferior to Doug's. I would sit through NS & DT with blank stares on my face wondering wtf PR was turned into.

I felt like I was 6 years old while watching it. Atleast with PRiS-PRWF it had mature themes a teenager could appreciate. Same goes for the MMPR-PRT era which wasn't as mature, dramatic, or epic as PRiS-PRWF but still 100x better than the kiddie NS & DT.

During the NS & DT era PR was never that stupid. Stupid is the really the only word I can come up with when describing both seasons because they literally were.

I haven't kissed Kalish's ass at all about S.P.D. I was just happy it was better than the previous 2 seasons. Hell, S.P.D. ain't even on my favourites list. But I will defend Kalish's work over Sloan in a heartbeat.

If any writers deserve ass kissing it's the ones who came up with awesome storylines like Mikoto/Dezumozorya and the Gouraijer sagas because that was legitimatley AWESOME but that's drifting into "different" water.

I don't understand how you can watch DT, which had real storylines, three dimensional characters, and plots that actually continued throughout the season, and then think SPD's lack of ALL of that is actually a better show.

I guess I just don't like watching Power Rangers say the most stupid one liners and comments at the more crucial times in the series. I guess I'm also not a fan of clone White Rangers, People who think Pop music ISN'T pop music because there was a guitar involved, and the list goes ON AND ON AND ON. It would make the Energizer Bunny need a wheelchair.

These apparent "real" storylines were pathetic, I've seen better storylines come out of Saved by the Bell. If anything the final plot of Grumm awakening Omni with the Magnificence lasted a few episodes unlike DT where out of fucking nowhere and NO MENTION the entire season, Mesogog magically pops out a giant lazer weapon. Pffttt. Like I said before, I think a down syndrome kid could have come up with something better than that.

You guys can defend Sloug Doan all you want. In my book he turned PR into an Idiot fest in which I felt embarassed to watch while hoping something would eventually change but the only thing that made it change was getting a new writer.

You guys can take ur goofy villians, dumbass one liners, pathetic storylines, and "comedy" that only a 3 year old could enjoy and keep it. I'll stick to my Darker, epic, dramatic, badass Power Rangers that I love.

Yeah, you do that. You won't be watching SPD, of course, 'cause that doesn't have any of those elements, or any good writing whatsoever except in the first 13 episodes, but hey, if you want to remain in your happy deluded place that's fine.

SPD had more dramatic & epic points than NS and/or DT.

I'll do that as long as you remain in ur goofy, 3 year old comedy place.

<WF> **while Cole finally forgives Master Org for the death of his parents, little does he know it's only a few months away until**

<NS>"YAY PUT ANOTHER DOLLAR IN THE MADE UP WORD JARRRRO203KR-!!!!!"

Allright, fine. Name one actually dramatic moment in the entirety of SPD that doesn't involve Doggy Krueger, and so help me if you even try and mention reflections there will be can of whoop ass opened.

EDIT: Thing is though, I really need to stay the hell out of these kind of topics, or really any topic about SPD. For some reason I can't understand, seeing people call it the best season ever makes my blood boil. I think it's because I know the show could be better, and I want Mystic Force to not suck, and therefore I don't want Bruce to be reading topics that say "OMG that was amazing! Don't change a thing! We don't need storylines! MORE EXPLOSIONS! LESS CHARACTER!"

I'm probably gonna take a break from Rangerboard until Mystic Force airs just because of that, and I think I'll just avoid SPD topics here. I could debate you until my face is blue, you're still going to think that piece of crap was great and good seasons were bad. :)

So never mind, don't worry about it.

Off the top of my head, the Rangers finding the A-Squad, the Rangers fighting the A-Squad, Bridge/SOPHIE, The final battle with Nova Ranger showing up, The SPD Commanders showing up to help, Kruger being releaved of duty and talking with Jack and then eventually returning to the team, Kat becoming Kat Ranger, Kat leaving SPD but then deciding to return, the SWAT Mode intro 2 parter.

..and of course the "Reflections" and the Kruger stuff should also be mentioned considering they were very big parts of the series for their respective characters.

For one, I never said SPD was the best season. Infact, I just said it wasn't even on my favourites list but since I did find it better than NS and DT I would'nt be bothered defending it.

Now you know how I feel when I see people say they think NS and DT are better seasons.

*goes off to watch the dancing episode of WF*

God I love this drama...

Skip that one. Go watch the finale, the Zen-Aku saga, the Lunar Wolf Saga, the ep where Zen-Aku returns, the Mastor Org revelation episode, Kite revealing himself to be Animus, and the list goes on and on and on.

If you are in the mood for stupid episodes like the one you mentioned then just watch NS or DT. I'm sure it'll quench the stupid thirst in anyone.
