9 years ago today...

I was in 8th grade (?). I'll tell you how I found out. I was in by math class, and one of the principals came in to tell the teacher, the principal left and we continued class as usual. For that (if i could go back in time), I would've liked to punched my math teacher in the face for keeping it to himself, even if it might've gotten me expelled (and ended my perfect attendance streak 4 (or 5) years too early).

I didn't find out what happened until my next class (which was science).

I will never forget this.

Always remember, never forget the horror that happened that day. To all the people who lost their lives, R.I.P. I say.:patriotic::patriotic::patriotic:

It was a very tragic time.

At the time I was turning on the TV expecting CITV, and got this breaking news and footage of the twin towers falling down.

It was very sad. Many lives were lost. My condolences go to the families of the dead victims.

Certainly a tragic event, but I still find it funny how much of a patriotic pretense this country as a whole puts on when any reference to 9.11 is made when we spend the rest of the time being entirely self-serving and fighting amongst ourselves. The banners, the melodramatic slogans, the country songs... it all seems so phony. I wish Americans actually cared more about the lives of the people we lost and the those that are still with us than about playing wounded-countryman for appearances.

I agree. if we're gonna be patriotic and caring, it should be all year-round and not on special occasions.

I remember I was in my junior year in high school when it happened. Another teacher ran into our classroom yelling at our teacher "Planes hit the World Trade Centers! Turn on the TV!". When he did, the whole room was silent, watching it all unfold. Some of the girls in our class started crying in fear. Some idiots started sayin crap like "oh ****! this is war, ****'s gonna get real!" Everyone else was just in shock. We went all day, from period to period, just watching it all unfold.

I remember waking up and turning on the TV while I got dressed for school. I watched with shock from the time they first reported that the first tower was burning, to the moment both towers collapsed.

I agree with Bolt though....We should express our Patriotism 24/7 to honor those that have fallen...but..

There's also the fact that we should express that by NOT discriminating against the Muslims that just want to make a living here. Come on, peoples...we're America. We're supposed to show tolerance and equality to our fellow man (yes...those include Muslims).

Of course...That's not always the case. =_=
