Toei decided to determine it by number of shows, not number of years. So while 2010 is the 35th year of Super Sentai, Goseiger's only the 34th show.

I think they should have just stuck to year, but Toei stupidly seems to think it's cute for Sentai and Rider to share anniversary shows, when it probably just ends up making both shows suffer. [sarcasm]Like, geez, I wonder what Toei's going to focus on more next year -- sentai's 35th or Rider's 40th?[/sarcasm] Toei really needs to focus on both, to apologize for Boukenger and Decade.
