32 episodes PROO confirmed

No one here hates PR, if they did, they probably wouldn't post in any PR related threads. It's just Disney and Bruce kalish. And a few other producers/co producers. PR is no longer good to alot of us, maybe to the people who never use the internet and don't know anything about its history.

Fair point; maybe I should've rephrased what I said. It's just that I'm getting a bit sick of the Saban/Disney comparison which seems to pop up in every PR-related thread.:disappoin

You know, I feel that it's Disney taking the fans for granted. they thought they could feed us low quality shows AND expect us to continue supporting them.

But the thing is, Disney doesn't want your support and they never asked for it. We aren't the target demographic for the show and we are fans by choice. Disney has no obligation to write a show that keeps our small community interested.

Disney has bought a TV show and is trying to turn a profit from that. In order to do that, it's moved the production to a location where it's cheaper to film and cut episode numbers to keep production costs low enough to keep profits up.

Some of you love to act and think as if everything Disney does with PR is because they hate you and the title. That for some crazy reason, all their business decisions are made on the back of your discontent. But they aren't, it's all regulated by ratings and money. Maybe if PR got better ratings and made more money we wouldn't have episodes cut.

You say "Saban was better" but according to sources, Saban was losing money on Power Rangers since Lost Galaxy. I could be wrong, I'm not the PR guru around here. If it's true, you can believe PR wouldn't be here today if Saban still owned it. It would have gone "bye bye" for good because Saban would have never kept spending money into a franchise that didnt turn up a profit.

I know I'm being preachy and this is a sensitive subject. But Disney and it's producers are doing what they must to make sure PR is profitable to them. I do not believe that they are wildly making random decisions just to limit the franchise needlessly.

I don't hate Bruce Kalish and if I end up not likeing PR:OO I wont hate him for it either. SPD and MF were good seasons and I liked them. DT is overrated by too many fans. So far I've liked every Disney season (I havent loved them as much as I've loved WF or TF. But they were still good enough to keep me watching)

Speaking of Toys: You have to admit that the Ninja Storm toy line was amazing. It's what got me back into buying PR toys for a time. Wish all toylines were like the NS toyline.

I think that... the writing should step up a notch. If an 8 year old can record his own toy demos and post it on youtube then I think Kalish can write a show that doesn't have dialogue you'd expect on Nick Jr.

"This must be where echos were invented"

But even that gem is far superior to the majority of what came out of the ranger's mouths in 1993.

"You ooze, you loose!" -.-

Yeah ... and the delivery was cute!

altough they should still make their plot a bit tighter.

The reason Saban start losing money after Lost Galaxy was because the remove the one thing that made PR it's own show over Super Sentai and that was an on going story. It didn't matter as most of the cast from In Space was in Turbo, but once they went to a pure Sentai like set up where each season they restarted everything, it was harder for fans to get to know the characters and because of that lot of fans left. Some grew up too and moved on with their lives.

I don't think Disney hates the fan base or Power Rangers, because if they did, why did they by them to bring with?

Personally when people say that if Power Rangers made more money and had better ranting then Disney would put more money into it, well this is what is called a risk. As of now, Disney is not taking a risk with Power Rangers, they are playing it safe. In order for them to turn a profit they must put out something the fanbase likes and will buy into.

Some may believe that Disney doesn't care about the fan base, but the only thing keeping the PR fanbase afloat are those people who grew up with the show from the start who are all in their 20s now.

Quick poll how many people on this board are Power Ranger fans that are with in the target Disney is going for? Which is like 13 and under I believe. Not many is there, and anyone who is I bet they love the early shows and/or Dino Thunder. So yeah, Disney should take a risk, after all really thing about this. This is Disney after all, they make billions each year on a number of their products, I understand they have to turn a profit with it. But can you say that anyone has liked the product they have given us?

No, PROO being 32 episodes is not taking a risk, if they had made it 40, that be a risk because the episodes would be slower in the telling and more time for building up the plots and characters would happen. If they put more money into the scripts and taking time to do simple stuff like reshooting a shot that can't work with out cropping (we all know what I'm talking about) along with other things. Took the time to make the season stand on its own, where no one would even combare it to the sentai counterpart and if they saw a rise of people watching it and buying into the product, you have to keep going.

I mean to make money you have to spend money. I mean come on, think of the rate that Saban was going down with Power Rangers, to the point they had to sell out to Disney. At the point they sold out, what did they have? Power Ranger and a bunch of other shows that all tanked out. Its no shock they went under like they did, but Disney. I don't think they would go broke if they gave us 38 well done episodes, I don't think that too much to ask.
