It's always a great bonus when free games include classics like the first three Tomb Raiders! Those games are a significant part of gaming history and worth experiencing, especially for anyone who hasn't played them yet. The retro charm, adventurous atmosphere, and puzzle-solving elements really set the stage for so many modern platforms. Plus, it's a fantastic way for Epic Games to build its library while giving gamers something nostalgic to get into. Any thoughts on how these games hold up against today’s standards?

I already claimed this the second I saw it was free. The first three Tomb Raider games were a huge part of my childhood, especially Tomb Raider 2. I still remember getting lost for hours because the old games never held your hand. I know some younger players complain about tank controls, but honestly that was part of the experience back then. The remastered graphics actually look pretty nice without changing the original feel too much. Also I agree with the point about not depending only on Steam. People get too comfortable with one platform controlling everything. Free games are free games anyway, so I don’t really see a downside in having Epic installed too. I probably would never have bought this collection because I already played the originals years ago, but for free? Easy download.

I think people forget how important the original Tomb Raider games were. Lara Croft was basically everywhere in the late 90s. Games, magazines, commercials, movies. Even people who didn’t play games knew who she was. These remasters are probably the closest new players will get to understanding that era because the originals look very rough now without the visual update. I still prefer Tomb Raider 1 over the others because it felt more isolated and creepy. The later games became more action focused. Either way this is one of the better free giveaways Epic has done in a while.
