Arc Raiders and The Finals are getting TV and film adaptations

[itchio_lurker]

Embark Studios, the team behind the multiplayer shooters The Finals and ARC Raiders, has scored some TV and film adaptations. They're working with a producer from the Backrooms project to bring these games to the screen. It's always interesting to see how game stories translate into other media, especially when they're from smaller studios.

Anyone else been waiting on this?

The mention of adaptations makes me think of how The Witcher series took that game's rich lore and turned it into something special on screen, even if it had its ups and downs. It's a challenge to distill game narratives into a different format. I wonder if these adaptations will keep the spirit of the original gameplay, like how some adaptations nail that balance while others miss the mark completely. What do you think these adaptations will focus on?
