Stray, the breakout indie game starring a lone cat exploring a dystopian city, has inspired plenty of imaginative merchandise. One of our recent Five Below finds is the Stray Block Head Snap & Switch Construction Set from Well Played Toys. We picked it up in store for around five dollars, making it one of the most affordable officially licensed Stray collectibles available. This collectible is part of the officially licensed Stray product line and offers a quick, hands-on project that fans of all ages can appreciate. It’s not a diorama or scene recreation. This one is all about the resourceful, orange tabby cat itself. The kit features 155 pieces, and the final result recreates the iconic orange tabby from the game in stylized blocky bricky form. The PopGeeks.com team recently got hands-on with the set, assembling every piece on video. Our full build, now live on YouTube and available here, walks through the process step by step and shows off the finished cat Block Head build. A Blocky Take on Stray’s Hero Cat The Stray Block Head Snap & Switch Construction Set turns the game’s orange tabby into a chunky, blocky figure that’s equal parts cute and slightly weird in […]

I’ve built a lot of LEGO and Nanoblock sets, so I usually stay with brands I know. When I saw this Stray Block Head online, I hesitated. I love the Stray cat design, and I like collecting unique animal builds. But I’ve never heard of Well Played Toys before. I was worried the plastic might be low quality or that the instructions wouldn’t be clear.

The article made it sound like it’s okay but not perfect. Honestly, the tight bricks and misprinted instructions give me doubts. I don’t mind simple builds, but I like smooth building experiences. I might still try it if I find it in-store. If it was $15, no way. But five bucks? Maybe I can take the risk just for the cat.

I keep seeing this figure online, and it looks so cute! I want it, but I haven’t bought it yet. Mostly because I’m not sure if I’ll actually build it. I don’t usually do construction toys. I’ve never even built LEGO. But I really loved Stray. It was quiet and beautiful. The cat reminded me of the one I had when I was little.

The review says it’s not hard to build, just slow, so maybe I can manage it. Five dollars doesn’t seem like much to risk. I think if I go to Five Below this week and they still have it, I’ll take it as a sign and buy it.

I love Stray so much, it’s one of the first games I finished by myself. So I had to get this block cat when I saw it. I built it after school and yeah, it was a little harder than I thought. One part in the instructions looked wrong and I had to restart a bit. Also, the pieces are kinda hard to push in. But once it was done, I felt proud.

It looks cute on my desk. My friends asked where I got it, and now they want one too. I wish it had the drone too though, B-12 was my favorite part of the game. Maybe they can make a pack with both later?
