I work in software development and have been gaming since the NES days. What Trump is doing with these tariffs is economic sabotage, plain and simple. It's not just about games. It’s about a government punishing its own people under the illusion of strength. You can’t tax imports like this without massive consequences for consumers. These tariffs don’t hit China the way people think, they hit us, the buyers. It’s basic economics. I already feel it in tech hardware prices, and now it’s affecting how much I pay to unwind after work. That’s a real cost to my life.

I voted against him once, and I’ll do it again. But more people need to wake up. I don’t care if you like Trump’s personality or his "outsider" energy, this is not sustainable leadership. I voted for Trump in 2016 and again in 2020. I believed him when he said he’d bring back jobs and put America first. But now I feel like a fool. None of that happened. I honestly don’t understand how anyone thinks Trump is helping the country. What part of “tariffs hurt us” is hard to understand? I’m studying economics. Tariffs can work in very specific situations, but this isn’t one. Slapping 145% on China is cartoonish.

And I agree—Microsoft isn’t innocent. They could’ve eaten some of the cost, or at least communicated better. But instead, they raised the price like it’s normal. It’s not.
