Sorry :sweat: I'm more of a Macross/Robotech fan than a Yamato fan. :sweat: The Yamato model is still really cool, though.

Off Topic: I'm guessing the Star Trek: The Next Generation production staff were fans of the show. The Enterprise's sister ship was the Yamato.

Yeah, TNG's writers and crew were anime fans. There's references throughout the series. The USS Akira, the little robots that Data thought were alive, and others.
