2026 Primetime Emmy Winners

The Emmys always remind me of that epic year when The Crown swept the awards. I was totally glued to the screen during that ceremony, especially when Olivia Colman took home the trophy. It made me appreciate how much incredible talent there is in the industry right now.

Widow's Bay winning basically everything in comedy feels excessive to me. I get that the show was good but sweeping that many categories makes the whole thing predictable and boring to watch. Award shows should spread the wins around more.

Honestly happy for Noah Wyle winning both acting and directing recognition for The Pitt. That show earned every bit of attention this year. The medical drama genre needed something fresh and raw like this. Rhea Seehorn finally getting her win for Pluribus made me emotional too, she has been doing amazing work for years and people are just noticing now. The Diplomat sweeping supporting actress with Allison Janney was also well deserved. I watched most of these nominated shows and honestly the competition was really tight this season. Widow's Bay taking almost every comedy category surprised me a little since I expected Hacks to win more. Still a good year for television overall, lots of new shows getting recognized instead of the same old names every time.

Matthew Rhys having a good night winning two awards, that's impressive range playing different characters across two shows entirely.

Vince Gilligan winning writing for Pluribus does not surprise anybody who watched Breaking Bad. Guy just knows how to write compelling television consistently, different show but same level of craft.

Kind of annoyed they spoiled half the winners during the Creative Arts Awards before the actual live show even happened. What's the point of watching live then if you already know who wins majority of categories. Networks need to figure out better scheduling for these events honestly. Still tuned in for Hargitay hosting since she has good stage presence, but the excitement was definitely lower than previous years. Maybe next year they should keep everything unified into one ceremony instead of splitting things up like this.
