I think some fans forget that not everything has to be made for the same audience. If this cartoon is meant for younger viewers or for people who just want a quick laugh, that's perfectly fine. The games are still there for players who want the usual Tekken experience. One new project isn't going to change the franchise. I'm more interested in seeing whether the humor actually works than worrying about the character designs.

I can already tell this is going to split the fanbase. Some people will hate it the moment they see the designs, while others will enjoy it because it's something new. Personally, I'm somewhere in the middle. I don't think every Tekken project has to look serious, but I also don't want it to become nothing but comedy. If they respect the characters while having fun with the animation, I think this could be one of the more interesting adaptations the series has tried in years. I'll wait until there's an actual episode before making up my mind.
