Ingrid's return definitely has stirred up a lot of emotions among fans! It's wild to think that a character who faced so much hate back in the day is now becoming a key part of the narrative. I always thought she had potential, but the execution back then left a lot to be desired. I'm curious to see how her character development plays out in the World Tour mode next week. Do you think her comeback will sway the opinions of longtime fans, or is it just a nostalgic trip for those who appreciated her initially?

The funny thing is that Ingrid might have one of the biggest redemption stories in fighting game history. I remember how much criticism she got years ago. Now she is the most-played DLC character and the one chosen to wrap up World Tour. Nobody could have predicted that. Whether people like her or not, her popularity clearly speaks for itself. I am more curious about Season 4 now. Ending a major feature like this makes me wonder if Capcom has something bigger planned behind the scenes.

One of the best parts of World Tour was getting to interact with characters outside of fights. Training under Tifa, getting messages from her, learning more about her personality, and unlocking her fighting style through a mentor story would have been amazing. Instead, it sounds like she will only be available through Avatar Arcade progression.

This news honestly bothers me more than I expected. My favorite character has always been Sakura Kasugano, and she still has not made it into the DLC lineup. Now that Capcom is ending World Tour support, there is a good chance that even if Sakura finally arrives in a future season, she will never become a mentor.

That is the part that disappoints me. Getting a new character is great, but World Tour let you actually spend time with them. You could train under them, get their messages, learn more about their personality, and feel like they were part of the world. If Sakura eventually gets added and only appears as a fighting style in Avatar Arcade, it just will not feel the same.

Apparently a lot of the team that worked on World Tour got laid off, at least that is what people in the community are saying. If that is true, it actually explains a lot about why support for new World Tour content is stopping so suddenly. It does not feel like a creative decision anymore, more like the structure behind the mode just is not there the same way it used to be.

Kind of sad if that is the case because World Tour was one of the more unique parts of the game. It was not just about fighting, it was about actually spending time with the characters in a different way. If the people building that system are gone or moved off it, then Avatar Arcade feels like a replacement built under very different conditions.

Makes the whole situation feel less like an ending planned from the start and more like something forced by circumstances behind the scenes.

Not surprised by the decision. Every DLC fighter needed story scenes, dialogue, mentor missions, and progression systems. That probably took a lot of development time. If ending World Tour support means faster character releases and more content, the trade-off makes sense even if it is disappointing.

I am not surprised that World Tour is ending. The mode was huge from the start, and every new mentor probably required a lot more work than most players realized. Dialogue, cutscenes, progression systems, side content, and all the little details add up. From a development perspective, I can see why Capcom would eventually reach a point where they needed a different approach. I just hope the extra resources actually go toward things players have been asking for.
