What Am I made for?
Finally the Wayans are back! I grew up watching the first Scary Movie and laughed so hard my stomach hurt. Seeing Anna Faris and Regina Hall return with Marlon feels like old friends coming home. The trailer already shows they are not holding back with the new horror movies. I hope they make fun of all the serious ones like Smile and Get Out. This is the kind of stupid fun we need in theaters again. June 5 cannot come fast enough.

Man I am so happy Scary Movie 6 is happening. The last one was weak without the Wayans touch. Now they are targeting M3GAN, Terrifier and all that new stuff. Marlon said equal opportunity offenders so I know it will roast everybody. Cindy and Brenda together again is perfect. I will buy tickets day one and drag my whole group to watch it.

Okay this actually looks promising. I was scared they would ruin the franchise but seeing the original cast back gives me hope. Parodying Scream, Get Out and Ma in one movie sounds crazy in a good way. The humor in the old films was simple and funny, I miss that. If they keep the same energy from the first two movies I think this can be really good.

I am just happy to see Brenda Meeks again. Regina Hall always makes me laugh, even with simple lines. Her reactions in the older movies were very strong, and sometimes she was funnier than the main character. I think having both her and Cindy together again will bring back that old energy. The newer horror movies they are parodying are more serious compared to older ones, so I wonder how they will turn that into comedy. Some films like Get Out have deeper meaning, so making jokes about them needs a careful approach. Still, this series was never very serious, so maybe they will just go all in with the humor. I will watch it mainly for the cast.

I remember watching Scary Movie when I was younger, and it felt very bold for its time. Now the audience is different, and people react more strongly to jokes. When I read that it will be “equal opportunity offenders,” I understand what they mean, but I also think it could cause some issues. I am not against risky jokes, but they need to be written well, not just for shock. The good thing is that the Wayans team has experience with this kind of humor. I think they know how to push limits while still being entertaining. I am more interested in how they will connect all the different horror stories into one plot, because that is not easy.

Comedy depends a lot on timing, and if the jokes are too slow or too random, they do not work. The older Scary Movie films had a fast pace, and that helped a lot. I hope this one keeps that style. I also like that they are including newer horror titles like Smile and Terrifier, because it shows they are trying to stay current. At the same time, I wonder if they will include too many references. Sometimes less is better. If every scene is a parody of something, it can feel crowded. I think they should focus on a few main ideas and build strong jokes around them.

Personally, I always liked how random this series can be. Some scenes do not make sense, but they still make me laugh. I do not need a very strong story for this type of movie. I just want funny moments and good delivery. The cast returning is enough reason for me to give it a chance. I also think Marlon Wayans has improved over the years, so maybe his writing is even better now. I am curious if they will include jokes about modern technology, because that is a big part of horror films now. Things like apps, cameras, and online videos can be used in funny ways.

Scary Movie 6 coming in 2026 feels like a dream. I remember renting the first one on DVD with my cousins and we watched it every weekend. Now they are going after modern horror like Weapons and Sinners. I like that they are bringing the silly jokes back instead of trying to be too serious. Hope it stays dumb and funny like before.
