The minds that made action packed Capcom classics are back at a new studio with an upcoming ARPG. Coming soon in 2026 is Stupid Never Dies. Developed by GPTRACK50 Inc., Stupid Never Dies is an Action RPG. Hiroyuki Kobayashi leads the games development, a veteran of the gaming industry who previously worked with Capcom. Alongside him is an equally experienced team who have worked with him on many classic titles, like Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. While the game is an action RPG, the studio states that the game is much more than that. Stupid Never Dies touts itself as the first Blazing Fast Growth genre, and incorporates onto the base ARPG experience. Add onto that a unique punk visual style, making this game one you will want to look out for in the future. A ZOMBIE, A GIRL, AND A DUNGEON OF MONSTERS Taking place in a dungeon of monsters, you play as a zombie named Davy. Stuck at the bottom of the monster hierarchy, he finds his life turned upside down when he finds a frozen human girl. Now he seeks to bring the girl back to life, achieving that by fighting his way through the dungeon. […]

I really like the idea of playing as a zombie. It is different from the usual heroes, and I feel like having a character who can steal powers from monsters is going to make the combat very interesting. I hope the game balances the upgrades well so that it never feels overpowered too fast. The dungeon setting also sounds classic but effective. I think the punk art style will give it a lot of personality, and I’m curious how the music will add to the experience. It sounds like the developers know exactly what they want to do, and having people from Devil May Cry and Resident Evil makes me confident the gameplay will be tight. I will definitely try it on Steam once it comes out.

The storyline about saving a frozen girl as a zombie is actually kind of clever. Usually, zombies are the bad guys, but here the main character has a goal that makes him relatable. I like that the game focuses on growth through stealing monster abilities instead of just leveling up. That could create a lot of different play styles. I also like the sound of the Blazing Fast Growth idea. It makes me think the game will always keep you busy and not feel slow. I am worried the dungeon might feel repetitive if it is too long, but the variety of monsters mentioned gives me hope.

The monster list already makes me excited. Skeletons, lizard men, and werewolves are classic enemies, but the idea of stealing their powers changes how you think about combat. It’s not just about killing everything, but deciding which powers to take for yourself. I also like that they are emphasizing fast combat. Sometimes ARPGs feel too slow, and this one seems designed to keep momentum. The zombie theme could also make customization really fun. I want to see how far they push the modifications and what crazy builds I can make.

I am curious about the soundtrack. They said it is inspired by pop-punk, which is not what I would expect for a dungeon game. That could make the experience really unique and memorable. I also like that the story is simple but gives a clear goal. Playing as a zombie trying to save someone human is an interesting twist. I am concerned about replay value, but the variety of upgrades and stolen abilities could make multiple runs feel very different. If they get the combat and pacing right, this could be one of the most fun ARPGs in a while.

The idea of modifying Davy’s body is very appealing. I like games where you can experiment with builds and try different abilities you find. It seems like there is room for a lot of creativity. The Blazing Fast Growth system also sounds like it will reward you for pushing forward, which keeps gameplay exciting. I do hope the dungeon design is varied enough so it doesn’t feel repetitive. But with classic monsters and the upgrade mechanics, it seems like there will be a lot of strategy in choosing what abilities to steal and how to fight each encounter.

I am drawn to this game mostly because of the developers. Capcom veterans usually know how to make action feel satisfying, and combining that experience with a unique zombie protagonist is a big plus. I also think the punk style is smart. Many games focus too much on being realistic or dark, so something that feels energetic and stylized can really stand out. I want to see how fast the combat actually is, and whether it lives up to the “Blazing Fast Growth” label. It could be a very fun game for both casual and hardcore players.

Fast-paced combat in a dungeon crawler is always appealing. I’m curious if it will be smooth on both PS5 and PC. The story seems simple, but that’s fine if the gameplay is solid. Playing as an undead protagonist trying to revive a human is an unusual twist. It makes me more invested in Davy’s journey than a typical hero character.

The upgrades and monster stealing remind me a bit of other ARPGs I’ve played, but the punk theme makes it feel unique. I’m interested in seeing more gameplay footage.

Short, punchy, and different. That’s what I think of the game so far. It doesn’t need a complicated story if the combat and customization are fun enough.
