Beetlejuice Beetlejuice didn’t premiere in theaters that long ago, but the Ghost with the Most already has his streaming showtime planned. WB has announced the sequel will hit Max by the end of next week. The film opens with the funeral of the Deetz patriarch, which the official description refers to as an “unexpected family tragedy” yet isn’t that unexpected at all if you check up on Jeffrey Jones’ police report. Lydia and Delia return to the spooky manor they once called home, which still has the model of the entire town in its attic. It doesn’t take long for Astrid, Lydia’s offspring, to summon Beetlejuice and things get wild and stop-motiony once again. Not only is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice a reunion between director Tim Burton and original stars Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, it also has Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s kid and was written by Alfred Gough and Miles Milar — three people associated with the Wednesday series on Netflix. It suggests the topic of a Beetlejuice sequel was first brought up on the Wednesday set and people crowded around Burton saying “Yeah yeah, I want in!” Beetlejuice Beetlejuice stars Michael Keaton (Batman, Mr. Mom) as That Guy, Winona Ryder […]

I saw it on opening weekend, and it was everything I hoped for! Michael Keaton hasn’t lost his touch—he is Beetlejuice. Jenna Ortega was a standout, bringing her usual charm and a modern twist to the spooky vibe. The humor, the quirky effects, and even the heartfelt moments really worked for me. I’m already planning a rewatch on Max with my friends. This is how you do a sequel!

I wasn’t sure about a sequel, but I saw it in theaters, and I’m happy to say it surprised me! It had enough callbacks to satisfy longtime fans while bringing new energy, thanks to Jenna Ortega. Some parts felt a bit rushed, but overall, I left smiling. I might even rewatch it on Max!

I love Jenna Ortega, and Beetlejuice is such a cool idea! I only saw the first one last year, but it was really fun, so I’m excited to see this sequel. I hope it’s as funny and weird as the original

I’m thrilled that this is finally coming to Max! I didn’t get a chance to see it in theaters, so now I can have a little movie night at home. I grew up watching the original with my siblings, and I’m excited to share the sequel with my kids (as long as it’s not too scary!). Hopefully, it keeps the charm of the first movie.

Finally, a sequel to Beetlejuice! I loved this movie back in the '80s and am so happy to see Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder together again. It’s like a walk down memory lane.Max is killing it with all these exclusive premieres lately! I missed this in theaters, so I’m excited to finally watch it. The cast is stacked, and the storyline sounds promising. I’ll probably rewatch the first Beetlejuice to prepare.
