Well, this is the week. Blue Lock 2nd Season began October 5, but the real meat of this season’s conflict didn’t arrive until last Saturday, the day Japan’s own U-20 National Team showed up to take on Blue Lock XI for the chance to represent the nation. Next week’s episode marks the beginning of the climactic match. 35 players have survived the elimination rounds from Season One, but they can still be knocked out of the team — in fact, the entire group could be eliminated if they can’t hold up against U-20. And if various team members can’t put their personal grievances with each other aside, that dissolution could very well happen. Can Blue Lock learn to perform as a functional team before it’s too late?
