Marie Claire is a site primarily aimed at a female audience. But of course, all visitors are welcome. MC shares a lot of content about celebrity news, entertainment, etc., and like PopGeeks, has writers who specifically contribute content about Korean drama. Why wouldn’t they? Everybody knows that Korean entertainment is taking over the globe. As a Kdrama contributor for PopGeeks (since January 2023), I often contrast and compare my reviews with other sites that publish similar content to make sure I am keeping up! In previous years, most of the Korean dramas on my watch list were movies and TV series found on Netflix, Viki, and Tubi TV. But for Christmas 2023, I gifted myself with subscriptions to Disney Plus/Hulu, and Amazon Prime. The lineup for Kdramas scheduled for release in 2024 was too tempting to pass up. All of these streaming platforms are in fierce competition and the gifted subscriptions were needed because the K-dramas on my watch list were not on the other platforms. OR … they were

So, I've been catching up on my drama reviews lately, and let me tell you, diving into "Payback: Money and Power" was quite the experience. It's one of those hidden gems that didn't get as much buzz when it aired earlier this year, but trust me, it's worth your time. I mean, who doesn't love a good revenge story, right? And this one hits all the right notes without feeling too cliché. Plus, having it available on Amazon Prime makes it super convenient to binge-watch!

Now, don't get me wrong, "Payback" isn't without its flaws. As much as I loved the cast, I couldn't help but feel like some of them were underutilized. Take Moon Chae Won, for example. She's incredibly talented, but her character didn't quite get the screen time she deserved. It's a shame because she really brought something special to the table.Cinematography might not be everyone's cup of tea, but personally, I think it can make or break a drama. And let me tell you, "Payback" nailed it in the cinematography department. From sweeping shots of Mongolia to intimate showdowns, every frame was a feast for the eyes. It's those little details that really elevate the viewing experience.

The way "The Killing Vote" addresses difficult moral decisions that both citizens and law enforcement must make is fascinating. I'm excited to see how the tension between justice and vengeance is resolved. With all the hints dropped in each episode, this drama is like a jigsaw. Already, I'm attempting to piece together potential suspicions. I'm hooked after just the first episode, which revealed so much. I wholeheartedly endorse this one!

Taecyeon's versatility never fails to amaze me. I mean, just look at his track record—from Let's Fight Ghost to Vincenzo and now this? He's like the chameleon of K-drama! And honestly, I love that he's taking on such a different role. Playing a vampire in a romcom? That's like, next-level unexpected, but I'm here for it. Can't wait to see him bring his unique charm to this new character. Heartbeat is worth watching
