I appreciate the creativity and imagination behind the gruesome scenes and gore, I felt that the film took a bit too long to set up the story. The pregnancy subplot felt out of place and could have been better developed. However, once the movie picked up its pace, it became a wild ride of blood and screams. The physical performances and prosthetic makeups were truly impressive. I hope there will be deleted scenes.

Honestly, I just can't imagine watching an 'Evil Dead' movie without Ash Williams. He's the guy played by Bruce Campbell with the chainsaw hand and a lot of funny lines. Ash is like the heart and soul of the franchise. His jokes and crazy actions make the movies super entertaining. So, if there's no Ash, it feels like something important is missing. I know they want to try new things, but I'll stick to the 'Evil Dead' movies where Ash is the star. it's like they took out a major ingredient that made it awesome. However, I felt that the story lacked depth, and some scenes felt gratuitously brutal. It's definitely a movie that will rock your socks.
