FMV Game Night Trap To Be Re-Released

In a move that has surprised the entire industry, Night Trap is set to be released later this spring for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Releasing as a 25th Anniversary Edition, it will also get a physical edition for the PS4 thanks to Limited Run Games, which will come complete with three separate covers in homage to the different versions of the title that originally released in the early 90s.

Developed to take advantage of the Sega-CD technology, Night Trap utilized full motion video to create a distinctive game that had video footage directly incorporated into it. Originally released in 1992, it created controversy the following year when it as removed from store shelves after the US Senate heard testimony on the effect of violent video games.  Despite this, it was later ported to a series of other platforms without any major changes.
