Bethesda has revealed that Fallout 4 mods won’t be coming to PlayStation 4 anytime soon. The company has revealed on Twitter that the official beta for mod support has been delayed, with the publisher announcing that they would update players once they had more news.
We regret to say that the PS4 Mods Beta for Fallout 4 has been delayed. We will update everyone when we can.

The delay may well have something to do with the issues that we outlined last week. Reports began surfacing a few days ago how the PlayStation 4 version of mods for Fallout 4 were struggling to work correctly. Unlike the Xbox One version, mods were not allowing players to upload files that were bigger than 900MB.
There were also some problems with the Creation Kit that meant the sound wouldn’t translate correctly from PC due to a proprietary system that Sony uses on the console. Another issue meant that performance of mods dropped significantly and textures would feel to load correctly. Bethesda said that they were in talks with Sony to solve these problems, though the delay would imply that they have not come up with a solution yet.
