The Escapists 2 Gets Map Editor On Steam
The Escapists is a game where you build a prison for criminals…and then become those criminals to try and escape said prison. There’s also a deep story mode and tons of twists on the genres. The Escapists 2 ratcheted up the intensity to a new level, and in the process, made the game even more fun. But, now, the game is getting a whole new twist on Steam. How so? Well, the team are going to be bringing a map editor to the Steam version.
“Award-winning international games label Team17 has today launched a free update for its sandbox escape hit The Escapists 2 on PC. The new update adds in a much-requested fan feature, a Prison Map Editor.
The addition of the new Prison Editor allows players to design and create their own custom prisons to play. The editor is intuitive to use, enabling players to drag and drop elements and rooms into their prison, which can be built over two floors, two vent layers and a roof. Construct cells, forge floors and manufacture maintenance rooms and more, the freedom is yours…. for now!
Finished prisons can then be shared through Steam Workshop and can be played either solo or in both local and online multiplayer!”
The update is available now, so go and see what kind of new adventures you can have in the game.
